Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, is seeking a Park Maintenance Worker to support Greenwood Furnace State Park Complex. Duties include building repairs, equipment operation, grounds care, construction assistance, housekeeping, and visitor assistance.

The position is seasonal and full-time with a fixed schedule and seasonal leave; travel between parks may be required, and a PA non-commercial Class C driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Building repairs: Perform basic repairs to park buildings and facilities using tools from multiple building trades.
• Equipment operation: Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment while traveling among the parks to complete assigned tasks.
• Grounds care: Carry out mowing, trimming, planting, and general grounds upkeep to support a clean and safe environment.
• Construction assistance: Support routine construction tasks including mixing cement, building forms, and laying stone or block.
• Housekeeping duties: Clean and restock restrooms, buildings, and pavilions while completing minor routine repairs.
• Visitor assistance: Provide helpful information to park visitors and complete required forms and records.
