Job description

What the job is: This Seasonal Maintenance Laborer role must be able to perform all functions to accomplish the primary purpose of the job.

Shift/Hours: During the summer season, hours are 5:30-3:30. Fall season hours will shift to 6 or 6:30-3:30.

General Duties:

• Maintain a good attitude, work well with others, and have a good safety record.
• Be alert to potential hazards and respond appropriately.
• Make decisions with time constraints and set priorities in work assignments.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Work occasionally on rough, steep, uneven ground.
• Perform minor mechanical tasks safely.
• Wear all required safety equipment and comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Lowland Construction Duties:

• Perform general laborer activities such as ditch cleaning, hauling construction materials, and removing debris.
• Safely secure and haul materials on small trailers (desired ability).
• Assist Equipment Operators in culvert and other structure installations.
• Conduct general facilities maintenance around Camp1, including painting, power washing, basic carpentry, and yard maintenance (mowing, weed whipping, truck washing/detailing).

Shop Duties:

• Engage in activities like equipment cleaning, housekeeping, assisting with basic maintenance, and delivering parts.
• Possess a basic understanding of maintenance operations.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Use tools (shovel, hand/power tools, etc.) effectively.

Yard and Load Duties:

• Perform activities such as cleaning equipment and hauling materials.
• Willing to train on and operate a chainsaw as needed.
• Assist operators with daily maintenance tasks.

Work schedule: Summer hours could be Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM; fall hours could be Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Days off are typically Saturday and Sunday.

Where you’ll work: Mustering point at our Camp 1 facility, about 9 miles from Shelton, WA.

Compensation Details: Hourly rate of $26.93, with potential shift differentials of $.75 (swing), $.85 (graveyard), and $.50 (lead role). Additional rewards include referral bonuses and spot bonuses.
