Job description

Role Summary:
Quantum Signal AI is looking for a part-time Seasonal Maintenance Assistant to join our team for the summer season. Day to day, you’ll take direction from the facilities manager to respond to requests related to preventative maintenance and repairs. You will provide support in maintaining and improving the functionality of our facilities and grounds. No two projects are the same and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to many different tasks and learn new skills regularly. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

Location:
We are located in Saline, Michigan. This position is in-person to encourage a culture of collaboration and mentorship.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Assist in painting and plastering tasks as needed
  2. Assist in facilities maintenance tasks as assigned
  3. Follow established safety procedures and guidelines
  4. Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment
  5. Wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  6. Perform light electrical and plumbing tasks under supervision
  7. Moving furniture and equipment as needed
  8. General grounds tasks such as trimming, planting, and spraying for weeds

What You’ll Bring:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
  3. Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary
  4. Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools, saws, drills, and wrenches
  5. Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs.)
  6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  7. Comfortable working on ladders and walking on the roof
  8. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  9. Valid driver’s license
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  11. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
