We are looking for an Associate, Maintenance - Truck to join Element Fleet Management. As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products, services, and solutions to our clients.

As the Associate, Maintenance - Truck, you will support and guide our clients’ drivers and act as a fiduciary for our clients when authorizing repairs at a fair price by following their policies and Element’s operating procedures. You will collaborate with Maintenance Client Partners, Supervisors, Managers, Directors, Drivers, Clients, and Automotive Repair shops. Using your prior experience, ASE truck (and possibly car certifications), education, and tools, you will review repair requests from automotive shops and approve or decline repairs based on client policies.

A Day in the Life

  • Responding to and creating repair orders in various applications, answering incoming calls from drivers and suppliers to resolve inquiries concerning vehicle work
  • Providing service assistance and directions to drivers, clients, and repair shops
  • Negotiating repair prices when appropriate and reviewing requests for compliance with client policy and Element’s procedures
  • Issuing authorizations for valid repairs to control maintenance costs and minimize vehicle downtime
  • Making outbound calls to initiate or follow up on services and resolve issues
  • Responding to inquiries from our Maintenance Platform, email, or internal tools
  • Applying your technical expertise in repairs, preventative maintenance, tires, roadside, labor & parts costs, etc., while delivering superior customer service

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of automotive knowledge; mechanic experience preferred
  • 2–3 years of hands-on heavy-duty truck mechanical experience preferred
  • Active ASE certifications in T1 Mechanical and another T Series (T2–T8), or willingness to obtain them within one year of employment
  • High School diploma required; BA/BS is a plus
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Proficiency in PC skills including data entry and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and respond with urgency
  • Effective communication skills with internal teams and external clients or suppliers, with a focus on customer service
  • Comfortable working remotely in an inbound call center environment
  • Goal of 1st contact resolution to minimize rework

The salary range for this position is $49,100 to $67,500 annually. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, and other factors. This range applies to candidates in this geographic location; other locations may have different ranges.
