As the Associate, Car & Light Maintenance, you will support our clients’ drivers and frontline agents by authorizing repairs, processing pre-approved invoices, verifying emails with suppliers, and responding to electronic communications from suppliers, clients, and drivers. You will also collaborate closely with Case Managers, supervisors, managers, and frontline agents to respond to requests.

A Day in the Life

  • Utilize your technical expertise in car and light-duty maintenance (e.g., repairs, preventative maintenance, labor & parts costs) to provide excellent customer service, respond to calls from drivers and suppliers, and resolve inquiries related to repairs and roadside events.
  • Manage inquiries from our supplier portal, email, or other internal tools.
  • Assist drivers in locating appropriate repair facilities.
  • Make outbound calls to suppliers for processing and payment instructions, and to initiate and follow up on services.
  • Process incorrect email returns and pre-approved invoices for payment.
  • Use technical knowledge to negotiate repair prices and review requests for compliance with client policies and Element’s procedures.
  • Authorize valid repairs to control vehicle maintenance costs and minimize vehicle downtime.

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required; BA/BS preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of general automotive knowledge; mechanic experience is preferred.
  • Active ASE Certification is preferred. Alternatively, candidates willing to obtain ASE Certification within 12 months of employment will be considered.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Comfortable working remotely in an inbound call center environment; occasional on-site training or meetings at a major office location may be required.
  • Proficiency with PC skills, including data entry and MS Office suite.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, research and resolve problems, communicate effectively, and work well in a team.
  • Must have access to high-speed internet and a quiet, confidential workspace.

The salary range for this position is $49,100 to $67,500 annually. Actual compensation depends on knowledge, skills, experience, and market factors. Note that this range applies to candidates in the specified geographic location; other locations may have different ranges.
