Job summary

Bergdorf Goodman in New York is seeking a polished Server to be the primary contact for guests during their dining experience within our luxury restaurant setting.

This is a seasonal, full-time role running from September/October through late December/early January, with compensation based on hourly pay in a luxury retail and dining environment. A strong emphasis on exceptional service is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally at their tables, reflecting the Bergdorf Goodman brand and service standards
• Guiding guests expertly through the menu, demonstrating deep knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and premium beverage pairings
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring seamless communication with the kitchen and bar staff regarding dietary restrictions or preferences
• Serve courses with precision, timing, and impeccable tableside etiquette to ensure optimal dining flow
• Accommodate special guest requests, VIP clients, and styling patrons with the utmost discretion and professionalism
• Monitor tables continuously to ensure guest comfort, proactively clearing courses and refilling beverages without prompting
• Process payments efficiently, accurately and handle guest inquiries with supreme courtesy and poise
• Support opening, running, and closing side work duties to maintain a pristine, elegant dining room
