Job summary

Bergdorf Goodman, a New York luxury retailer, is seeking a Busser for its luxury Italian café. This full-time seasonal role runs from September/October through late December/early January, and is not eligible for benefits.

You will help maintain an impeccably appointed dining room, clear and reset tables, and support servers to ensure a seamless, high-end service experience. You bring strong attention to detail, a commitment to cleanliness, and excellent teamwork and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, luxury or fine dining a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables promptly and discreetly between guests, maintaining a pristine dining environment
• Assist servers and captains to ensure smooth and efficient service during all meal periods
• Refill water, bread, and other table items as directed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room, service stations, and back-of-house areas
• Properly handle and polish china, glassware, and silverware, including Ginori porcelain
• Support opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and sanitation
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with NYC regulations
• Anticipate guest and team needs in a fast-paced, high-end service environment
