Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking a Restaurant Server Assistant to maintain dining room setups and support the service team in delivering the high standards of Neiman Marcus hospitality. You will assist with serving, clearing, and maintaining tables, while upholding hygiene and presentation requirements.

Role requires standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in serving food and beverage.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results-driven.
• Knowledge of proper placement of china, glass, and flatware.
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and table settings.
• Knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public.
• Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills.
• "Win together" mentality.
• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds.
• Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain table setups and clear/re-set tables.
• Deliver popovers, butter, and water.
• Serve food and beverages per kitchen tickets.
• Maintain bus station and beverage areas.
• Learn table numbers and sections in the dining area.
• Assist kitchen and service staff with service needs.
• Assist waitstaff with service, refilling beverages and running food.
• Set up the dining room with coffee, iced tea, and ice.
• Restock glasses, flatware, and linens.
• Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and weekly duties.
