Job summary

Under Canvas is seeking a 2027 Line Cook for seasonal field operations around Zion, UT. You will work across live fire stations, grill, sauté, fry, prep, and pantry, delivering high-quality dishes in outdoor environments while upholding safety standards.

You will collaborate with back-of-house teammates to maintain culinary standards, adapt to weather, and provide memorable guest experiences through timely plating and attention to dietary needs. This hourly role offers seasonal hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required by property opening date.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team.
• Line or grill cook experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain composure and take action in unpredictable situations (weather, guest needs).
• Collaborate professionally with guests, food & beverage team, and other departments.
• Ensure guest safety by following food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Contribute to quality dishes and timely plating to enhance guest experiences.
• Listen to team members and anticipate operational needs for consistent feedback.
• Share ideas for specials or operations improvements.
• Prepare and plate dishes with proper prep and portioning.
• Know menu ingredients and methods to answer guest questions and dietary needs.
• Provide clear, accurate, and timely communication.
• Demonstrate problem-solving independently or with the team.
• Value teamwork and readily help others.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned
