Job summary

R.D. Offutt Company in Minnesota seeks a Seasonal Line Worker to support harvest operations by grading potatoes, cleaning, shipping, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include working the conveyor line, following crew leader directions, and communicating with the team. Eligible employees may receive a discretionary bonus and participate in training and growth opportunities within the organization.

• Remove foreign material and non-standard product from processing equipment as directed.
• Work the conveyor line ensuring potatoes are graded to various standards and sorted.
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader.
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms.
• Participate in company-sponsored training to develop skills.

$15 - $18 / hour

Job Duties

• Remove foreign material and non-standard product from processing equipment as directed
• Work the conveyor line ensuring potatoes are graded to various standards and sorted
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

Job Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to work outside
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the positions with or without accommodation
• Walk on uneven ground at the farm locations
• Must be able to work overtime during harvest season or as the need arises

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
