Job summary

R.D. Offutt Farms is seeking a Seasonal Line Worker to contribute to farm labor and operations during harvest. Duties may include grading potatoes, cleaning, shipping, and other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities include removing foreign material, operating the conveyor line to grade and sort potatoes, and following crew leader directions. Candidates should have reliable transportation and the ability to work outdoors, with overtime during harvest as needed.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Ability to meet physical requirements of the positions with or without accommodation.
• Walk on uneven ground at the farm locations.
• Must be able to work overtime during harvest season or as the need arises.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Remove foreign material and non-standard product from processing equipment as directed.
• Work the conveyor line ensuring potatoes are graded to various standards and sorted.
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader.
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
