Job summary

Dartmouth College is seeking a Lift Operator for the Mountain Operations team at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme Center, NH. This is a 4-month term position with a starting pay of $17.50 per hour, working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities include safe operation of lifts and carpets, daily safety checks, snow/ice mitigation, and supporting mountain operations with maintenance tasks. The role requires physical capability and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge/understanding of large machinery.
• Good communications skills and patience.
• Physically capable to perform tasks and duties of position.
• Ability to work outside for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates lifts in a safe, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Provides excellent guest service at lift and beginner areas.
• Provides daily maintenance/safety checks in compliance with NHPTSB.
• Assists mountain operations with snow and ice mitigation including shoveling, sanding, and salting on premises.
• Assists in maintenance duties related to snowmaking and mountain operations systems including but not limited to parking lots, timbering operations, and building maintenance.
• Follows all policies and procedures of the Dartmouth Skiway.
