Job summary

Dartmouth College is seeking a Lift Operator for Mountain Operations at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme Center, NH. This four-month, temporary full-time role focuses on safe and efficient operation of lifts and carpets while delivering excellent guest service to all guests.

Applicants should be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform maintenance checks as part of daily responsibilities. Tobacco-free policy applies; background checks required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge/understanding of large machinery.
• Good communications skills and patience.
• Physically capable to perform tasks and duties of position.
• Ability to work outside for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates lifts in a safe, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Provides excellent guest service at lift and beginner areas.
• Provides daily maintenance/safety checks in compliance with NHPTSB.
• Assists mountain operations with snow and ice mitigation including shoveling, sanding, and salting on premises.
• Assists in maintenance duties related to snowmaking and mountain operations systems including but not limited to parking lots, timbering operations, and building maintenance.
• Follows all policies and procedures of the Dartmouth Skiway.
• Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
