Job summary

Marquette Mountain is seeking a Seasonal Lift Maintenance Technician to ensure safe and reliable operation of ski lifts and support equipment. The role requires following safety policies, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting lifts as needed.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work under tight timelines are essential. The position runs October 14, 2026 through April 14, 2027, with opportunities to train and grow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior lift maintenance experience preferred; will train the right candidate with a mechanical background.
• Must be able to work under timelines and pressure.
• Willing to work independently as well as part of a larger team.
• Ability to climb and work at substantial heights and in all kinds of weather (heat, cold, rain, wind, ice, snow, etc.).
• Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 100 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be familiar with ANSI B-77.
• Attention to detail.

• Adherence to all safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe and reliable mechanical operation of lifts.
• Responsible for following the company's safety and risk management policies and procedures
• Responsible for performance and scheduling of all preventative maintenance procedures
• Must assist in troubleshooting all down lifts
• Responsible for assuring that the Maintenance Mgr., Lead, and Lift Dispatch is immediately informed and consulted about all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, observations, or system malfunctions.
• Respond, as assigned, to lift failures to productively resolve these situations in a timely manner
• Responsible for maintaining all tools, equipment, and vehicles as assigned
• Must be able to evacuate a lift under auxiliary power in all circumstances
• Assist in the ongoing training of lift maintenance personnel
• Provide superior service to our guests (internal and external) at all times. Interact with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Responsible for recording all information of work performed on lifts and submitting to lift records in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
