Job summary

Holland America-Princess (Holland America Dawson City Inn) is seeking a lifeguard to supervise aquatic activities and provide on-site lifeguarding during lessons, classes, open swims, and rentals.

Candidates must hold current lifeguard certification with First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and be available to work evenings and weekends; applicants aged 15–17 are eligible. A background check will be completed before hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite lifeguarding for the aquatics program including swim lessons, aquatic classes, open swims, and rentals.
• Responds to emergencies in an aquatic facility, performing water rescues, first aid, CPR, AED use, and evacuations.
• Enforces water safety rules and other policies, standards, and regulations related to health and safety in an aquatic facility.
• Sets up and makes available aquatic sporting equipment such as nets, balls, floatation devices or other toys.
