Job summary

A community aquatics organization seeks seasonal Lifeguards to ensure the safety of patrons at assigned pool locations. The ideal candidate will monitor the pool environment, enforce safety rules, and respond efficiently to emergencies. Strong communication skills and current certifications in Lifeguarding and CPR/AED are required. Flexible scheduling is essential during the peak summer season, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications

• Minimum age requirements for lifeguards (typically 15–16+).
• Physically able to perform rescues and prolonged standing.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas for safety and prevention of accidents.
• Enforce pool rules and respond to emergencies.
• Inspect facilities and report safety concerns.
• Assist with cleanliness and maintenance of pool area.

Skills

Current Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

Ability to remain alert

Strong communication skills
