Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is seeking a friendly, responsible Lead Trolley Driver for the summer season. This role runs from June through mid-September and involves safely transporting passengers, leading a small driver team, and delivering outstanding customer service in an outdoor setting.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL with a Passenger Endorsement, have at least two years of supervisory experience, be 25+, and demonstrate a strong safety and customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience scheduling shifts for multiple workers and leading a small team.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Strong focus on safety and passenger care.

Responsibilities

• Operate a trolley along assigned routes per TRMF schedules and safety rules.
• Interact courteously with passengers and assist as needed.
• Ensure passenger safety during boarding, riding, and disembarking.
• Coordinate driver schedules to meet service times and dates.
• Serve as main point of contact for drivers and management on trolley questions.
• Set service standards and train drivers on routes.
• Coordinate preventative and scheduled maintenance with Maintenance Department.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain clean and orderly vehicle interiors.
• Follow traffic laws and TRMF policies.
• Oversee seasonal drivers and train on routes and customer service.
• Coordinate weekly driver schedules and inform management of changes.
