(SEASONAL) Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operator)

Duty Location: Golden Gate National Recreation Area, San Francisco, CA (Housing may be available)

Duties may include:

1. Perform laboring duties requiring moderately heavy physical effort, using hand tools and power equipment to maintain trails, roads, and visitor facilities.
2. Perform janitorial duties for buildings and grounds when required.
3. Operate light-duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds, such as pickup trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, etc.
4. Operate motor vehicles over Federal, state, county roads, and city streets in various traffic conditions.

Physical Demands: Moderate to very heavy physical effort, including lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds, sometimes up to 80-100 pounds with assistance.

Working Conditions: Outside work in all weather conditions; indoor work in well-lit, heated, ventilated areas; exposure to weather extremes, noise, dust, and dirt; use of safety equipment required.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Background investigation and favorable adjudication required.
• Valid driver's license and submission of driving records required.
• May require working on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift work.
• Travel and relocation expenses are not paid.

Qualifications: Experience in laboring assistance, manual labor, operating light and heavy equipment, vehicle maintenance, and grounds maintenance. Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
