Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation seeks a Seasonal Laborer II for Middlesex Fells Reservation. The role involves performing a range of manual labor tasks to support skilled trades and site maintenance.

Season runs for winter 2026-27 (18 weeks). Start date around 11/15/26 with a 3/20/27 end date. Includes duties like trenching, paving, signs, landscaping and equipment operation. Eligible for full-time seasonal employment under state schedules.

Qualifications

• At least six months of full-time or equivalent part-time manual labor experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform manual labor tasks to assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, plumbers, masons).
• Assist with installation of drainage, sewer and water pipelines; join, seal and handle pipe sections and culverts.
• Dig trenches, grade dirt and materials; shovel and spread materials to maintain sites.
• Set and repair paving, curb, signs; install supports using hand tools.
