Job summary

South Valley Farms is seeking seasonal workers for the upcoming harvest season to assist in planting, growing, and harvesting crops such as corn, wheat, or tree fruit. You will perform outdoor physical labor and operate basic farm equipment, contributing to a safe, clean, and smoothly running operation with a team.

Ideal candidates have any agricultural experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• One (1) year or one full season of agricultural experience preferred.
• Experience in crop production environments is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of farm equipment (tractors, sprayers, mowers, ATVs) including safe operation.
• Working knowledge of crop care practices including planting, pruning, training, and recognizing crop health indicators.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to ensure efficient use of labor and resources.
• Effective communication with peers and supervisors to support teamwork.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and a safety-conscious attitude.
• Must be able to work a regular farm schedule of approximately 55-60 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and varied shifts.

• Performs general labor including irrigation, fertilizing, spraying, mowing, pruning, thinning, harvesting, sweeping, and other field or equipment maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Applies crop protection materials such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers safely and in compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Assists with maintenance and repair of fences, tools, irrigation systems, and basic farm equipment to support daily operations.
• Supports safety and compliance by following OSHA and GAP requirements.
• Contributes to a team-oriented work environment with clear communication to meet operational goals.
• Maintains farm security and cleanliness, ensuring gates and facilities are organized and tour-ready.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
