Job description

Starting pay: $17.00 per hour

Part-time or full-time

Temporary role - 3-month assignment

We are seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our team! This role focuses on animal care, welfare, production, selection for customer orders, facility upkeep, recordkeeping, and procedural duties. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with animals, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment. We value hardworking individuals with attention to detail, initiative, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include:

  • Feeding, cleaning, and breeding animals
  • Following protocols to ensure animal health and welfare
  • Coordinating order details, including selection, packaging, and accuracy confirmation
  • Maintaining accurate records of breeding, feeding, and care
  • Ensuring sanitation of animal facilities
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Candidate requirements:

  • Passion for working with animals daily
  • Interest in animal development and breeding
  • Commitment to a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to complete paperwork as needed
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand/walk on concrete for at least 2 hours
  • Capability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat, and lift frequently
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
