Seasonal Laboratory Animal Care Technician I

Join us as a Seasonal Laboratory Animal Care Technician I at Inotiv.

Temporary role - 3-month assignment

Starting pay $17.00 per hour
Part-time or full-time
Temporary role - 3-month assignment

We are seeking an Animal Care Technician to focus on animal care, welfare, production, order preparation, facility maintenance, recordkeeping, and procedural duties. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with animals, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment. We value hardworking individuals with attention to detail, initiative, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Caring for animals, including feeding, cleaning, and breeding
• Following protocols to ensure animal health and welfare
• Managing order details such as selection, packaging, and accuracy confirmation
• Maintaining accurate records of breeding, feeding, cleaning, and care
• Sanitizing animal housing, cages, and support areas
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications and qualities we seek:

• Desire to work daily with animals
• Interest in animal development and breeding
• Commitment to a clean and safe work environment
• Ability and willingness to complete paperwork
• Availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
• Willingness to work overtime when needed

Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Stand/walk on concrete for at least 2 hours
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, and lifting
• Proficiency in English communication (reading, writing, speaking)

This role may be offered at different levels depending on education and experience, with salary adjustments accordingly.
