Job summary

Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort seeks a Kitchen Operations Manager to oversee all food service outlets, events, and banquet operations in the base area. You will ensure compliance with local and federal regulations and lead a customer-focused team to deliver high-quality meals.

The role requires coordination with the Director of Food & Beverage, staff management, and a strong emphasis on safety and sanitation. Winter-season presence is essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year college or culinary program certificate; or two to four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current ServSafe Manager certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; capable of writing reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Hires, coaches, motivates, evaluates, and directs leads and staff to ensure training, support, feedback, and resources for success.
• Directs budgeting, staffing models, and profitability goals with the F&B Director; monitors payroll and food costs.
• Maintains HACCP guidelines and Serve Safe standards across all kitchens; oversees food quality and inventory control.
