KARM Stores is seeking Seasonal Key Holders to support Retail and Production during the busy season. You will lead daily operations, guide team members, serve customers, and reinforce the mission and values of KARM Stores.

The role combines leadership with hands-on responsibilities on both the sales floor and in production, offering flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, production, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership, key holder, or shift lead experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate team members; work independently when needed.
• Experience with cash handling and basic computer skills is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide shift leadership and direct daily operations on assigned shifts.
• Lead as Manager on Duty in Retail or production, ensure policies are followed.
• Support sales floor operations, customer service, and cash handling.
• Coordinate tasks, schedule coverage, and maintain an orderly, safe store.
• Assist with production workflow and donor processing to meet goals.

This position plays an important leadership role in supporting daily operations, guiding team members, serving our customers and donors, and furthering KARM Stores’ mission.Whether you enjoy leading a team on the sales floor or coordinating the sorting, pricing, and processing of donated merchandise, you can make a difference as part of our team.Seasonal Key Holders help ensure smooth daily operations by providing shift leadership, supporting operational goals, maintaining company standards, and creating a positive experience for customers, donors, and team members. Key Holders are expected to lead by example, make sound decisions, support their teams, and demonstrate KARM Stores’ mission and core values.Seasonal Position DetailsPosition Type: SeasonalPay Range: $17-$20 per hourAssignment Dates: Immediate start through early JanuarySchedule: Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available, including holiday and peak-season schedules as needed.Availability: Flexible scheduling, including evenings and Saturdays, based on operational needs.Store operating hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Key Holder ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Daily OperationsSupport daily operations by providing direction and leadership to team members during assigned shifts.Serve as the Manager on Duty (MOD) in Retail or the operational lead in Production, ensuring company policies, procedures, and expectations are followed.Assign tasks, coordinate team coverage, and prioritize daily responsibilities to meet operational needs.Support managers by communicating operational concerns, addressing routine challenges, and helping maintain an efficient and productive work environment.Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, dependability, and a positive attitude.Retail & Customer ExperienceHelp lead daily sales floor operations and support the team in achieving sales goals.Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience.Support register operations, cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and financial accountability.Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing sales floor through stocking, merchandising, pricing, and recovery.Assist in resolving customer concerns professionally and reinforcing customer service expectations.Production & Donor ExperienceHelp coordinate daily production workflow to meet established production goals and quality standards.Support donation receiving, unloading, sorting, pricing, processing, and preparation of merchandise for the sales floor.Provide guidance and support across production areas to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.Reinforce merchandise quality standards, proper pricing, and established production procedures.Create a welcoming donor experience by greeting donors, assisting with donations, expressing gratitude, and sharing the KARM story.Team Development & Mission AlignmentEncourage teamwork and collaboration by providing support, direction, and feedback to team members.Help maintain a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.Cross-train in both Retail and Production operations to support the needs of the business.Demonstrate KARM Stores’ mission to Reveal, Tell, & Provide through interactions with customers, donors, and fellow team members.Model our core values of being Trustworthy, Team-Minded, and Teachable.Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned to support daily operations and team success.Skills & QualificationsPrevious retail, production, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred.Previous leadership, key holder, or shift lead experience preferred.Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Ability to lead, support, and motivate team members while fostering teamwork.Ability to prioritize responsibilities, solve problems, and make sound decisions independently.Experience with cash handling, point-of-sale systems, or production processes preferred.Basic computer skills, including typing and web browsing.Ability to effectively use iPad-based technology and applications.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet established goals.Dependability, flexibility, and a commitment to operational excellence.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Commitment to KARM Stores’ mission and mission statement.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, potentially up to 100% of a standard workday.Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, and other physical activities throughout the workday.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to safely move merchandise, donations, loaded carts, racks, and other materials.Ability to perform repetitive tasks associated with retail and production activities, including sorting, hanging, tagging, pricing, stocking, and merchandising.Ability to work in a fast-paced retail, production, and receiving environment that may involve moderate to heavy physical activity.ScheduleFull-Time and Part-Time seasonal opportunities available.Flexible scheduling based on business needs, including evenings and Saturdays.Retail operating hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Production operating hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Every Sunday off!Attendance at required meetings and training as scheduled.Be Part of Something Bigger!At KARM Stores, every team member contributes to a greater purpose.
