Job summary

Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, TX seeks an Adjunct Coach for the Plano Campus Seasonal program to develop athletes and model Christ-centered leadership.

You will instruct athletes in fundamentals, supervise practices and games, and work with the Athletic Director to schedule and budget. Candidates should be strong communicators, demonstrate integrity, and be prepared to maintain discipline and foster teamwork within a faith-based school community.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a sports program or team.
• Preferred previous coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Good role model.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.
• Prestonwood Baptist Church member preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training to achieve team success.
• Provide instruction that fosters moral values, strong work ethic, teamwork, and self‑discipline.
• Maintain discipline and raise morale within the athletic program and community.
• Supervise practices, games, and team trips.
• Update knowledge of technical aspects and pursue continuous learning and new ideas.
• Oversee the program budget and purchasing.
• Maintain inventory of uniforms and equipment issues.
• Co‑operate with the athletic director on scheduling.
• Establish lettering criteria for varsity teams.
• Implement and enforce policies with parents and players regarding issues or concerns.
• Provide frequent updates to the athletic director during the season about any issues, concerns, or highlights.
