Job summary

Murray’s Cheese in New York, NY is seeking a Seasonal Receiver for Grand Central. The role focuses on receiving, organizing, and inventory control to support store operations. Expect physical tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and data entry using NetSuite.

The position runs mid-October 2026 through mid-January 2027, with weekly pay and product discounts. Prior inventory experience and basic math skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving or inventory management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with basic math and Excel is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming products, ensuring accuracy in quantity, quality, condition, and order specifications.
• Perform data entry for product transfers using NetSuite and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure proper storage of products at correct temperatures, adhering to FIFO or LILO standards.
• Communicate with vendors, retail teams, and management by phone and email to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor product quality, check expiration dates and case conditions, and initiate credit requests when necessary.
• Participate in regular stock rotations and assist with inventory counts and organization.
• Process invoices and make adjustments to invoice totals using basic math.
• Assist with stocking and organizing the back area to ensure efficient storage.
• Perform other duties to support team and store operations.
