Job summary

Idaho Health Insurance Exchange (YHI) is seeking a Customer Advocate to support seasonal staffing needs during open enrollment. The role focuses on phone and email support, helping customers with routine requests and more complex needs.

You will handle enrollment questions, assist with plan selections, perform data entry in YHI systems, and work in a high-volume call center to deliver timely, professional service.

Qualifications

• 1-year customer service experience, including resolving complex issues.
• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent through professional experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot both technical and non-technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including strong interpersonal telephone skills.
• Knowledge of the ACA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide thorough, timely customer support via telephone, email, and other methods in a high-volume center.
• Handle enrollment questions and assistance during open enrollment.
• Enter data accurately in YHI’s systems.
• Respond professionally to inquiries and resolve complex customer situations.
• Support carrier appeals, reconciliations, and eligibility renewals.
• Conduct research to resolve customer situations.
