Job summary

The Community Council of Idaho is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Child Care Assistant in Twin Falls, Idaho. The position runs from April through December with downtime in off-peak periods.

You will support the Head Start program by assisting the Teacher with curriculum planning, health checks, developmental screenings, and monitoring each child’s progress, while maintaining a safe, orderly classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher with planning and conducting classroom curriculum and activities.
• Assist in daily health checks of children.
• Assist in developmental screening and IFSP implementation.
• Monitor progress of individual children.
• Supervise classroom activities in absence of Teacher.
• Maintain clear, age-appropriate rules for children.
• May perform duties of bus monitor once trained.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, stay calm under pressure.
• Maintain confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records.
• Perform work in accordance with CC Idaho policies and Head Start Performance Standards.
