Job summary

CVS Health in California is seeking a part-time District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores. You will act as a Pharmacy Manager's proxy, travel within the district, and ensure safe dispensing, accurate labeling, and patient care.

The role requires an active CA Pharmacist license, an active NPI, and compliance with all federal and state regulations. You must be able to travel, work nights/weekends, and deliver compassionate care while maintaining

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Responsibilities

Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
Customer Service and Team Orientation: actively help people and be friendly
Extend immunization services and support pharmacy team in immunization efforts
Support inventory management with attention to cold chain products
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
Keep clinical and technical skills up to date with industry changes
Provide pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible (e.g., COVID/Flu)
Comply with all laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies
