Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps across stores in the district, under the Pharmacy Manager and District Leader. You will support pharmacy teams, ensure safe dispensing, and travel as needed to cover shifts.

The role requires an active Pharmacist License, NPI, and flexibility for travel. This part-time position offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to patient care through immunizations and clinical services.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, confirm prescription information and label accuracy for patient safety.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner and respond to patient reactions.
• Communication Skills: interact with patients and colleagues, active listening, clear verbal and written communication.
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate tablets, days’ supply, and bottle counts.
• Problem Resolution: resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions, choosing best course of action.
• Physical Demands: mobility, lifting, reach, repetitive motions, visual acuity.
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
