Job summary

The Long Center is seeking an Ice Rink Manager for our outdoor rink in Austin, TX. This seasonal, full-time role oversees daily operations, safety, guest experience, and a small team of 2–4 staff, including skate rentals.

You will operate the Zamboni, schedule shifts, monitor equipment, ensure safety compliance, coordinate with events, and help drive revenue through guest experiences during the Oct–Jan season.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or guest-facing roles.
• Experience in a rink, arena, or recreation facility preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the ice rink and surrounding facilities during operating days.
• Operate the ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni) and maintain ice quality.
• Supervise a team of 2–4 seasonal staff and manage scheduling.
• Keep the rink area clean, safe, and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Coordinate with Long Center staff and external partners for events and guest experiences.
• Support revenue-generating experiences and attendance at the rink.
