City of Manhattan, Kansas is seeking an occasional seasonal skating instructor for Manhattan Ice Academy, part of the Parks and Recreation Department. Instructors teach skaters across skill levels during the rink season, typically on evenings and Saturdays.
The role requires knowledge of ice-skating technique and, ideally, experience in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, with a focus on safety, customer service, and teamwork in a public facility.

Starting Wage: $13.00/hour

Manhattan Ice Academy is Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department’s (MPRD) learn-to-skate program, designed to help participants of all ages become proficient on ice. Ice skating lessons run throughout the length of the ice rink season, on Monday and Tuesday nights and on Saturdays. The program adjusts instructors to the appropriate skill levels of the skaters enrolled. Instructors teach participants to skate according to the program standards.
