Job summary

Corvallis School District 509J is seeking a Cheer Coach to coordinate the high school cheer program. Responsibilities include directing all aspects of the cheer program, working closely with other coaching staff, and promoting the sport.

Ideal candidates will have high school cheer coaching experience, a current First Aid certification, and the ability to motivate both students and fellow coaches. An Oregon Teaching License is preferred.

Qualifications

• Cheer coaching experience at the high school level is required.
• Current First Aid Certification is required, can be completed upon hiring.
• Oregon Teaching License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the high school program.
• Work with and help give direction to all programs that feed into the high school.
• Assist in selection of the coaching staff.
• Promote the sport and improve skills in the off-season.

Skills

Cheer coaching experience at the high school level

Experience in all aspects of coaching dance

Skills to develop a positive rapport with students/athletes, parents and other coaches

High ethical and professional standards

Ability to motivate students/athletes and coaches

Current First Aid Certification

Education

Oregon Teaching License (preferred)
