Job summary

Corvallis School District is seeking an Assistant Cheer Coach for Corvallis High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves coordinating high school cheerleading programs and ensuring the development of student-athletes. Candidates must have prior cheerleading coaching experience, skills to motivate students, and preferably hold an Oregon Teaching License.

This position offers a seasonal contract with a stipend ranging between $4,588 and $4,657 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in all aspects of coaching dance.
• High ethical and professional standards.
• Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion, and Steroid training, and Current First Aid Certified can be completed upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the high school program.
• Promote the sport and keep detailed statistics.
• Provide off‑season opportunities enabling athletes to improve skills.

Skills

Cheercoaching experience at the high school level

Ability to develop a positive rapport with students/athletes, parents and other coaches

Skill to motivate student/athletes and coaches

Education

Oregon Teaching License (preferred)
