Job summary

HI USA in Boston is seeking Seasonal Housekeeping Team Members to prepare guest rooms, dormitories, and shared spaces to meet cleanliness standards. This role helps ensure travelers from around the world have a clean, welcoming stay at our hostel.

This full-time, seasonal position offers varied shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., weekend availability, and includes complimentary stays at HI USA hostels and employee discounts. Training is provided and growth opportunities exist within HI USA.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of housekeeping experience in hotel or hostel setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare guest rooms, dormitories, and shared spaces to meet cleanliness standards.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the hostel.
• Complete laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and restocking linens.
• Replace bed linens, towels, and other items as needed.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes and utensils.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces in common areas and guest rooms.
• Remove trash and recycling daily.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Help monitor and restock housekeeping supplies.
• Support light maintenance or grounds tasks as needed.
