State of Oregon’s Oregon Department of Transportation seeks a Seasonal Highway Maintenance Specialist to help keep roads safe in Government Camp. You will operate equipment, plow snow, patch surfaces, and perform maintenance tasks as part of a dedicated crew.

The role lasts about six months, with benefits eligibility. A CDL-A with tanker endorsement is required (or ability to obtain within timeframe). Public Service Loan Forgiveness may apply.

Competenze

• One year of experience performing basic highway maintenance work OR two years of general landscaping, maintenance, mechanical, farming, logging, and/or construction experience or training.

Mansioni

• Operate heavy and light equipment to maintain and repair road surfaces and related features.
• Assist with weather-related emergencies and snow removal operations.
• Patch potholes, repair concrete, and perform small inlay work.
• Clear debris, brush, and manage roadside vegetation.
• Inspect and maintain fences, barriers, and drainage structures.
• Support routine maintenance including janitorial tasks and light carpentry.
