Job summary

Ferrovial Construction’s Webber unit in Canada seeks a skilled maintenance worker responsible for keeping contracted assets like roadways, medians, signs, and guardrails in good condition. The role carries an hourly pay range of $40–$42, with compensation dependent on experience and qualifications.

You will operate snow removal gear, repair highway surfaces, install and maintain traffic controls, and support emergency rotations as needed. Valid DZ license and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, maintenance or landscaping (outdoor work).
• Valid Ontario Class DZ driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS and job related aspects of Occupational Health.

Responsibilities

• Removal of snow and ice using snow removal and/or sanding equipment.
• Maintain and repair highway surfaces including signs, guardrails, fences, lighting, potholes, striping, and litter removal.
• Operate vehicles and equipment for surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair; manage slopes, berms, culverts, drains, etc.
• Set up and remove traffic control as required.
• Transport crew and equipment to work sites.
• Be available for emergency response rotations including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• All other duties as assigned.
