Job summary

Dayton Area School Consortium seeks a Head Boys Tennis Coach at Springboro High School for a one-year supplemental contract beginning 2026/2027. The role oversees practice sessions, matches, and student leadership under the Athletic Director's supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a teaching certificate, knowledge of the game, and a commitment to sportsmanship and student development. Responsibilities include compliance with district policies and program fundraising involvement.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate preferred.
• Prior experience and/or knowledge of the game preferred.
• Ability to work with those involved in setting up the program.
• Ability to work with young athletes and provide a positive influence on their lives.
• Maintain current Pupil Activity Permit validation, CPR training certificate, and other certificates as required by Board Policy and the Ohio Department of Education.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all practice sessions and scheduled games.
• Work in cooperation with staff and Athletic Director.
• Distribute, collect and inventory equipment/uniforms.
• Keep necessary records and forms.
• Provide leadership and direction to students involved in this activity.
• Promote school and student pride by maintaining appropriate conduct with officials, players, coaches, spectators, and staff.
• Maintain locker room facilities and report concerns after each practice/meet.
• Promote sportsmanship at all times.
• Perform other duties to support athletic goals.
