Job summary

Wheeler Mission Ministries in Indianapolis seeks a Seasonal Guest Services Coordinator I to support shelter guests during residency. You will check guests in/out, guide them using scripture, assist with meals, supervise activities, and help coordinate evening and weekend programs under the Guest Services Manager.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and a compassionate, trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or willingness to work toward HSE within first year.
• Experience in nonprofit or shelter settings preferred.
• Strong communication, listening, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in/out using guest software and report changes.
• Provide guidance and scripture-based support to guests.
• Monitor meals and supervise nightly activities for residents and volunteers.
• Assist with special events and routine administrative duties.
• Record incidents and coordinate with staff as needed.
