Job summary

Story Land in New Hampshire seeks an Admissions Host (Seasonal) to greet guests, sell and redeem tickets and season passes, and assist guests with service requests.

You'll use POS equipment, check bags, enforce height restrictions, and help maintain a welcoming park entry. Flexible schedule, weekend/holiday availability, and opportunities to cross-train across departments are offered.

No formal education required; prior guest service experience is a plus; must be at least 14 years old.

Qualifications

• Friendly, strong communication skills, and a knack for exceptional customer service.
• Prefer prior experience in a similar customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the park in a warm and friendly manner.
• Courteously assist guests with questions and complaints.
• Measure height of all persons entering the park as they purchase tickets and enforce any height restrictions that the park may have.
• Sell and collect tickets and season passes.
• Utilize Point of Sale (POS) equipment to accurately record financial transactions.
• Scan all passes, tickets, and wristbands to ensure accurate attendance and valid guest entry.
• Issue any additional materials, promotions, or souvenirs to each pass holder as they enter.
• Check guests' bags to ensure no prohibited items are brought into the park.
• Monitor all guests exiting and re-entering the park.
• Monitor all park communication including incoming calls and radio traffic.
• Maintain a clean work area in the Main Gate operation to maintain a great first impression for incoming guests.
• Replenish park maps while maintaining a clean work area.
• Ensure that park rental items do not leave the park (e.g., strollers, wheelchairs, and ECV).
• Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for hosts and guests.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by leadership.
