Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is seeking a seasonal, full-time Buildings and Grounds Worker in Rochester, MN. The role involves custodial and grounds work, routine maintenance, minor construction, and operating power tools in varied environments from March to November.

Hours are 7:00am–5:30pm, Monday–Thursday, with occasional travel for meetings or trainings. Applicants must meet the qualifications listed and pass background checks as part of the process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide labor services to Parks and Trails sites and facilities to ensure safe, high-quality facilities.
• Perform routine repairs and inspections on equipment and tools for safe operation.
• Provide information to the public and customer service to DNR facility users.
• Record and communicate accurate information on work performed for efficient maintenance and operations.
• Complete and actively participate in safety and other job-related training.
