Job summary

Cooperative Farmers Elevators seeks a General Laborer to assist in all grain operations during the fall season, ensuring efficient service to members and customers. The role emphasizes maintaining grain quality, load handling, inventory tracking, and adherence to safety policies.

The position requires basic computer skills, strong communication, and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to support multiple departments within the cooperative.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and demonstrate good attention to detail.
• Detail oriented to provide accurate and consistent work with or without direction.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems such as general office machines and phone system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grain quality.
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain dust levels.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance.
• Measure and track grain inventory.
• Perform basic grain handling, loading and unloading.
• Ability to dump grain.
• Assist with loading and unloading fertilizer.
• Attend employee safety meetings and comply with Safety Director guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
