Job summary

Cooperative Farmers Elevators in Iowa is seeking a General Laborer to support grain operations during the fall season and deliver outstanding service to members and customers.

You will maintain grain quality, assist with loading/unloading, perform basic repairs, manage inventory, and ensure safety compliance. This role requires good communication, reliability, and flexibility to work overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and office systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grain quality
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain dust levels
• Perform maintenance and repairs to equipment
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance
• Measure and track grain inventory
• Perform basic grain handling, loading and unloading
• Assist with loading and unloading fertilizer
• Attend employee safety meetings and uphold safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
