Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Truck Facility Technician to operate and maintain grain-handling equipment, ensuring grain quality and safety, and documenting processes. Your role supports local farmers by keeping grain moving from field to market and protecting quality.

You will participate in daily safety meetings, load and unload grain, weigh trucks, perform basic maintenance, and complete paperwork to ensure accurate records. Strong math, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior experience required; preferred: 1 year in an industrial environment.
  • Basic math skills and good communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to tasks.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to regulations.
  • Load, unload, and transfer grain while maintaining quality.
  • Weigh trucks, grade grain where applicable, and document tasks.
  • Maintain facility through cleaning and housekeeping.
  • Operate, monitor, and shut down dryers as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Operate heavy equipment and other machinery as assigned.
  • Complete required documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Carry out additional duties assigned by management.

Job description

Truck Facility Technician

Join CGB Enterprises, Inc., an industry leader in grain and transportation, as a Truck Facility Technician. In this role you will support local farmers by operating and maintaining the equipment and processes that keep grain moving from field to market. Your work will help protect grain quality, support safety and health standards, and ensure timely and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Load, unload, and transfer grain to appropriate locations while maintaining grain quality.
  • Weigh trucks, grade grain (where applicable), and perform related documentation.
  • Clean and maintain the facility through sweeping, shoveling, washing, and general housekeeping.
  • Operate, run, monitor, and shut down dryers when required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Operate heavy equipment and other machinery as assigned.
  • Complete all required documentation promptly, accurately, and legibly.
  • Carry out additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • No prior experience required; preferred: 1 year in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Effective oral and written communication; ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills to complete documentation and follow directions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to assigned tasks.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service internally and externally.
Physical Demands & Requirements
  • Continuous standing, walking, and moving; frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting.
  • Climb stairs and ladders; work in confined spaces.
  • Lifts, pushes, or pulls up to 50 lbs. occasionally; may perform heavier loads depending on location.
  • Operate equipment in high dust, hot/cold, wet/humid, or dry/arid environments.
  • Work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed.
  • Use hearing for alarms and two‑way radio communication; read and interpret written instructions.
  • Work on barges or railcars, open gates, and operate vibrators where applicable.
  • Travel may be required (5–20%) for training or alternate locations.

Safety is a priority: all employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and complete required tests such as PFT and FRA/DOT testing where applicable.
