Job Summary
Truck Facility Technician at CGB directly supports local growers by loading and unloading trucks, performing a variety of duties based on daily operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in company safety program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings.
- Perform duties in compliance with OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations; wear appropriate PPE.
- Transfer, load, and move grain to appropriate location.
- Maintain grain quality while stored and/or transferred.
- Weigh trucks and grade grain (where applicable).
- Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
- Perform general clean‑up including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting and housekeeping.
- Operate, run, monitor and shut down dryer as required (where applicable).
- Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs (where applicable).
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, where applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: None required. Preferred – 1 year’ experience in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.

Physical Demands & Requirements
- Ability to balance continuously.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel and squat frequently.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders to significant heights.
- Concentrate on tasks without distraction continuously.
- Identify grain characteristics; use nose to detect odor differences.
- Enter data into computer.
- Reach frequently.
- Lift, push, pull 50 lbs occasionally to continuously depending on location.
- Use and comply with PPE, PFT/fit testing, FRA and DOT testing (where applicable).
- Work in confined spaces.
- Walk on barge surface and around water (Convent, LA).
- Stand and walk continuously.
- Communicate verbally and via two‑way radio; recognize emergency alarms.
- Understand written instructions.
- Operate vibrators, railcar equipment (where applicable).
- Work extended hours, weekend, holidays or alternate shifts as needed.
- Operate in high dust, extreme weather conditions.
- Acutely aware of surroundings.
- Use vision and depth perception to identify grain problems.
- Open silo bin doors and rail car hoppers (Convent, LA only).
Travel
5%–20% travel may be required at some facilities.
Compensation
Expected base pay range: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour.
