Job summary

Seabreeze Management Company Inc is seeking a golf starter to ensure smooth tee times and provide excellent customer service at our California facility. You will coordinate tee times, answer golfer questions, and maintain the starter area.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Prior guest-service experience and knowledge of golf etiquette are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of golf course operations and etiquette is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage tee times: coordinate tee times, check-in players, and handle delays.
• Customer service: provide information on course rules, policies, and facilities, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Pace of play: monitor pace and direct players to the first tee, addressing slow play as needed.
• Equipment management: ensure golf carts, scorecards, pencils, and supplies are ready at the first tee; maintain starter area.
• Assist with course operations: help with tournaments, manage driving range, and explain GPS use on carts.
• Record keeping: maintain tee time records, player names, and cart assignments; communicate course conditions.
• Input data into tablet/phone using tee sheet software and GPS systems.
