Job summary

The Astros Golf Foundation, host organization of Houston’s PGA TOUR Texas Children’s Houston Open, seeks a Tournament Operations Intern to assist with on-site course build, vendor coordination and event support during January 4–May 17, 2027. You will partner with the Operations Manager and Coordinator, handling confidential information with discretion and gaining exposure to multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Junior level college/university student or graduate student in related field (Sports Management, PGA Management, Hospitality, Business Management) between January & May.
• Must reside or relocate to Houston, TX area January–May 2027 at own expense.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Memorial Park Golf Course and offsite locations.
• Desire to gain experience in professional sports/entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and execution of on-site operations.
• Support site-build plan and vendor timelines.
• Assist partners and vendors with on-site activations during tournament week.
• Act as secondary contact for vendors and manage storage equipment inventory.
• Manage childcare setup with PGA Tour at off-site location.
• Support other operational duties on-course and in the tournament office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
