Job summary

Atlanta Botanical Garden is seeking a Gift Shop Associate for the upcoming season. The role involves assisting guests, processing sales at the register, and promoting gift shop products. You will restock and maintain a clean, attractive sales floor while supporting cross-department knowledge of the garden.

This temporary position runs from mid-October through January 10, requiring flexibility for days, nights, weekends and holidays. Interview and onboarding will follow garden policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• Minimum of one year retail experience preferred.
• Must be able to maintain good working relationships with coworkers.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills and appropriate interpersonal interactions required.
• Basic math and PC skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide a welcoming experience.
• Process all Point-of-Sale transactions accurately.
• Promote and actively sell gift shop products.
• Restock and maintain a high standard of the sales floor appearance.
• Price and check new products before stocking.
• Provide directions to ticketing, venues, and offices.
