Responsibilities

• Serves customers by providing courteous assistance and directing them to products; keeps the Farm stand clean and orderly.

• Maintains and restocks product displays; ensures rotation, labeling and cleanliness.
• Places reorders and notifies Gift Manager when stock is low.
• Keeps retail facilities clean; removes trash, sweeps floors, dusts displays.
• Creates and maintains signage under Gift Manager direction.
• Assists with bagging groceries, sweeping, organizing, and cart retrieval as needed.

Seasonal Gift Assistant - mid-June to end of August 2027

Temporary-PT/FT Nantucket, MA, US

Salary Range: $22.00 To $24.00 Hourly

Under the supervision of the Gift Manager, the Gift Assistant is an hourly position responsible for servicing customers by maintaining the Farm retail stand in conformance with established Farm policies, strategies, and procedures.

1) Provides courteous and attentive service to customers by answering questions, directing them to products, and keeping the Farm stand clean and orderly. Stays familiar with retail layout and products.

2) Processes incoming orders, unpacking, pricing, and back stocking.

3) Responsible for maintaining and stocking product displays. Ensures products are properly rotated, organized, stocked, labeled and clean.

4) Places certain reorders and keeps the Gift Manager informed when other stock is running low.

5) Responsible for keeping the retail facilities clean and organized. Removes trash and recycling, sweeps floors, and dusts display areas.

6) Responsible for creating and maintaining informational signage under direction from the Gift Manager.

7) May assist with other duties as needed such as bagging groceries, sweeping, organizing and cart retrieval or gift basket delivery.
