Job summary

A marine support service company is seeking an experienced Galley Mate in Galveston, TX. This seasonal role requires meal preparation for up to 14 people while at sea for up to 5 days. The position also includes vessel mobilization, operations assistance, and regular maintenance tasks. Ideal candidates will have vessel deck management experience and the ability to work collegially with diverse teams. Certifications in First Aid, CPR and AED are essential, alongside a valid driver's license. This is a unique opportunity to work in an outdoor maritime environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of vessel deck management experience in offshore marine environments.
• Able to perform duties in galley area while at sea, including meal prep and clean up.
• Able to deploy at sea on overnight trips up to 5 days at a time, 100 nautical miles from shore.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation for up to 14 people at sea.
• Help mobilize the vessel before each cruise.
• Operating and assisting in vessel operations.
